Through RP Settlement Solutions, LLC and our affiliated title companies, we also support residential and commercial real estate closings throughout Central Pennsylvania.

Position Summary: Real Estate Paralegal – Closing Specialist

The Real Estate Paralegal – Closing Specialist supports residential and commercial real estate transactions by managing file setup, documentation, and communication throughout the settlement preparation process. This role works closely with internal team members and RPL attorneys and builds strong working relationships with lenders, real estate agents, and transaction coordinators at real estate agencies to ensure files are accurate, organized, and ready for closing.

The position plays a key role in coordinating transaction details and maintaining the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Open and maintain title and settlement files, review incoming contracts and lender instructions, and coordinate documentation required to move transactions forward, including title searches, lien searches, tax certifications, payoffs, and related materials.
  • Review transaction and title documents for accuracy and completeness and assist with preparation of deeds, affidavits, title documents, and preliminary settlement statements.
  • Communicate professionally with lenders, real estate agents, transaction coordinators, attorneys, buyers, and sellers to support transaction flow and closing readiness.
  • Support scheduling and preparation for settlement, track deadlines, maintain well‑organized and accurate files, and provide clear handoff information for post‑closing processing.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of title and settlement workflows
  • Experience using real estate closing or title production software
  • Qualia or SoftPro experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital document management systems
  • Active Pennsylvania Notary Public license is a plus, but not required
  • Reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented work style
  • Paralegal certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred

Position Summary
We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of 2–3 years of post‑licensure experience to handle a range of civil legal matters in both transactional and litigation contexts.

Ideal candidates will have experience in real estatecommercial transactionsloan documentationcivil litigation related to business or real estate matters, and/or estate planning and administration.

This position offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and staff in a collaborative environment. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on a range of civil legal matters under the supervision of senior attorneys.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and client solutions.
  • Maintain client files and manage a high‑volume workload while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters and internal decision‑making.
  • Draft pleadings, memoranda, briefs, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in hearings, depositions, negotiations, and other legal proceedings as appropriate.
  • Review and draft agreements, contracts, and other transactional or estate‑related documents.
  • Interact with clients to provide updates, guidance, and high‑quality client service.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in general civil legal practice, ideally including real estate transactions or litigation, commercial transactions or loan documentation, estate planning and estate administration.

Duties

  • Assist with document review, drafting legal documents, contracts, and pleadings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain client files and manage a high-volume workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Perform administrative functions including data entry, filing, document organization, and maintaining accurate records for law firm and/or affiliated title company.
  • Provide executive administrative support including calendar management, scheduling appointments, and handling phone etiquette professionally.
  • Interaction with clients to provide updates.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal with familiarity in diverse practice areas such as commercial transactions, lending transactions, collection litigation, real estate transactions, and/or estate planning/administration. Candidates with experience in collections, our general practice areas, and/or real estate are preferred.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills with the ability to prepare legal documents accurately.
  • Proficiency in document review and case management systems including Clio.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective proofreading ensuring error-free documentation.
  • Solid administrative experience supporting attorneys through filing, data entry, record keeping, and clerical tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
